Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Eye Color Rarity collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we only receive what you type into the contact form, we run no advertising, and we do not sell data to anyone.

Last updated November 2026

What we collect

  • Contact form messages. When you write to us, your name, email address, chosen topic and message are sent to us by email so we can read and reply.
  • Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting records technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and debugging.

What we do not collect

  • This site sets no analytics or tracking cookies.
  • No advertising networks or data brokers receive your information.
  • The rarity tool runs in your browser. The eye color you select is not sent to us or stored.
  • The eye color test also runs in your browser. Photos you add stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and they are cleared when you leave the page.

How we use the information

  • To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
  • To keep the site secure. For example, the contact form uses rate limiting and a hidden spam field.

How long we keep it

Contact messages stay in our email inbox for as long as we need them to handle your request and keep track of corrections. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Your choices

To find out what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, write to us through the contact page using the same email address.

Third-party services

Contact messages are delivered through Google's Gmail service. Outbound links on this site, for example to journals or the American Academy of Ophthalmology, take you to other organizations' websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date above.
